ACCEPTING AN OFFER
The Price Is Not Always Right
“The higher the price, the better the offer.” Don’t be fooled by this popular misconception. Price is not always the determining factor when accepting an offer for several important reasons. There are other conditions that may influence your decision like inspections and appraisals. I am very diligent and detailed oriented when evaluating every offer with my clients.
Negotiating The Right Way
It’s part of my responsibility to help my clients choose the best offer for them. We may have to work through multiple offers before accepting the one you are most comfortable with. As your agent, my goal is to provide objective assessment of each offer to help you make the best choice.
Some important tips to keep in mind to streamline the process:
- Keep written records of everything.
I will keep records of all agreements including counter-offers and addendums. I will make sure any verbal agreements get converted to written agreements. As your agent I will draft all paperwork for your sale and make sure that you have copies of everything.
- Stick to the schedule.
Once you select an offer, you and the buyer will be given a timeline indicating what needs to be completed until closing day. During the process I will keep you updated so you will always be prepared for the next step. Sticking to the timeline provides for a stressfree and positive expereince!
